The 60th Frankfurt Book Fair is opening its doors to the public from October 15th to October 19th, 2008. This year, the "guest of honour" will be Turkey. The motto “Turkey in all its colours” will be realised through a special cultural events programme, featuring nearly 250 events in Germany, including readings, music acts, dance and theatre performances, art exhibitions and workshops. The Frankfurt Book Fair is the largest book trade event of its kind in the world. It draws several hundred thousand visitors from Europe, Asia, and the Americas each year.
