Max Planck Research Award 2008 (07/24/2008)





Professor Dr. Peter Fratzl of the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam and Professor Dr. Robert Langer of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston (MIT) win the Max Planck Research Award 2008. The international research award of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Max Planck Society is granted annually to one researcher working in Germany and one working abroad. It is worth 750,000 EUR and this year recognises outstanding achievements in the field of biomimetic materials research. The award ceremony will be held on Thursday June 26th, 2008, at 5.30 pm in Hall 2/3 at the International Congress Center Dresden, Osra-Ufer 2.
