The Fulbright Commission, an educational exchange program, awards scholarships to students and young scholars from the United States who would like to study in Germany. The program is funded jointly by the German and American governments with the purpose of promoting academic excellence and cultural understanding between the US and Germany.
Scholars and students in the fields of economics and social sciences, law, ecology and environmental studies, engineering, and media and communication sciences are especially encouraged to apply for a scholarship. The Fulbright Commission would like to encourage a more intensive transatlantic dialogue in these areas, in which German institutions have developed strong academic programs.
