An international Workshop at the Institute for Solid State and Materials Research (IFW) Dresden deals with the new generation of FeAs-based superconductors.
The ongoing search for new superconductors has recently yielded a new family of Fe-based compounds which upon doping exhibit superconducting transition temperatures TC above 50K. In the last weeks and months, tremendous interest raised world-wide to understand the physics and chemistry of this new family of superconductors. The workshop "Physics and Chemistry of FeAs-Superconductors" is dealing with this new and promising generation of superconductors. It is the first international workshop on this theme at the Institute for Solid State and Materials Research (IFW) Dresden in cooperation with the Technical University (TU) of Dresden. The Workshop is integrated within the German-Russian "Joint-Laboratory"(IFW/ Moscow State University). Scientific talks on the following subject will take place:
- Magnetism and Superconductivity - Electronic structures - Phase diagrams - Theory of FeAs-Superconductors - Synthesis of Pnictides and Oxypnictides
Chairs: Bernd Büchner (IFW Dresden) Alexander Vassiliev (Moscow State University) Hans-Henning Klauss (TU Dresden)
